Adds a sidebar to the main screen

Odoo 20 Module Contrôle qualité : Vérifiée LGPL-3

Every app one click away, on every screen.

A sidebar lists the apps a user may open, beside the web client instead of behind the home menu — at the width that user chose, with the company logo at its foot.

One click between apps

Switching app no longer means a trip through the home menu, and the bar marks the app you are in.

Each user sets the width

Large, small or hidden, in that user's own preferences. Nobody has to accept a colleague's choice.

Your logo at the foot

The image comes from the active company, so a multi-company database shows the right one on every screen.

Contacts  ›  Contacts
The apps sidebar beside the contacts list
The bar sits between the navbar and the view, company image at its foot, and stays there while you work.
What it adds

The home menu, kept on screen

The same apps and the same icons as the home menu, in a bar that does not go away when you open a record.

Every app you may open

The bar lists the apps your access rights allow, each with the icon it carries in the home menu.

Your own order

On Enterprise, the order you give the home menu is the order of the bar, so the apps you live in sit at the top.

Three widths

Large with names, small with icons only, or hidden altogether. On a narrow screen it steps aside on its own.

A logo per company

An image field on the company fills the foot of the bar, and it follows whichever company is active.

User menu  ›  My Preferences
The sidebar type field in the user preferences
One field, on the preferences screen every user can already reach.
Per user

A preference, not a policy

Sidebar type is a field on the user, and each user may change their own. An accountant who wants the names and a warehouse user who wants the icons both get what they asked for, and an administrator is not asked to decide.

Hidden is still installed

Set it to invisible and the bar takes no width at all: that user sees the stock Odoo layout, while everyone else keeps theirs.

FREE MODULE

Help and support

What you get for free, and what has to be paid work.

Community support

Issues and merge requests are welcome on the public repository. They are read — but no response time is promised.

When you need it guaranteed

A sidebar shaped around your menu structure, or a fix on a deadline, is paid work — quoted up front. Write to sale@mukit.at.

Licence

LGPL-3. Use it, change it, ship it inside your own work — no licence key, no database count.
