Adds expand/collapse for views
Open every group, or close them all, in one click.
Two entries in the cog menu of any grouped list or kanban — and they work all the way down, through every level of the grouping, to the records themselves.
Group by two or three fields and one click still takes you to the records. You do not open each level in turn.
The same two entries wherever a view is grouped, so folding a board of columns works like folding a list.
A nesting level is opened in a single request, however many groups it holds, so a wide grouping stays quick.
Two entries, where you already look
No new button, no keyboard trick to remember. They sit in the cog menu of the control panel, and only while the view is grouped.
Unfolds every group of the view, then every group inside those, until the records are on screen.
Folds the tree back from the innermost level up, leaving the view as it was when you grouped it.
Two fields, three fields, more: each level is opened in turn until there is nothing folded left.
They appear the moment a list or kanban is grouped and go again when the grouping is removed.
All the way down
Odoo can open the groups you can see. A view grouped by two fields then leaves you with a second level still folded, and a third after that. Expand All keeps going until every group is open and the records are in front of you.
A whole level is marked open before anything is fetched, so twenty groups cost one read, not twenty.
